The Pacific Warriors 7s team will meet the Wellington 7s team this afternoon.

 

Pacific Warriors team members of the Wellington team will play for the Warriors instead of Wellington.

NZ Fijian Festival 7s Update

The Pacific Warriors Team lost their first game to Nadi Blues by 10-12 and got through to the knockout stages but then lost to College Rifles  before winning a semi final of the plate against Barbarians and defeating Waikato Fijians in a nailbiting final.

 

Targeting to go all the way on our  next 7s outing. 

2010 NZ 7s Jersey Raffle

The First NZ 7s Jersey that was Raffled and sold at the NZ Fiji Festival 7s was drawn at the end of the day and WON by Etelia Roko of Auckland.Ticket number 41.Money raised was $700 total.

 

(Jersey bought for $155 and taken by Lote to Delhi during Commonwealth games and autographed by the NZ Rugby 7s Team and Management.)

 

Thanks to the organising committee of the NZ Fiji Festival 7s tournament for allowing us to do our fundraising during the tournament.

Re: Rugby Sevens Tournament

 

 

 

We would like to inform and also invite your club to participate in our Annual Rugby 7-a-side Tournament which will be held at the Liston Park (Marist Old Boys Rugby Grounds), Ellerslie in Auckland on Saturday 23 October, 2010.

 

 

Sixteen teams should be battling out the total prize money of $8,000.00 of which $3,000.00 will be going to the main winner.

 

Entry fee for each team is $500.00 and all proceeds from this tournament will go towards the multipurpose Community Hall in Onehunga, Auckland.

 

 

 If you wish to take part in this worthy course; please do not hesitate to contact us to confirm your participation and we will supply you with the Tournament Details as soon as we finalise the teams.

 

 

Your early response will be much appreciated as we anticipate closing entries by the end of September, 2010.

The Manukau Festival of Arts and Niu FM proudly bring a night of music sensation featuring centre stage Fiji and some of Aotearoa’s finest award winning artists.

Team Training and Meeting

Team had a good run and practise game together for ove an hour at Lyndhurst Park.

 

The meeting after the game at the Rokotakala residence discussed and confirmed the finer details of the team trip to Auckland on the labour weekend.

 

Total numbers going is 31(18 players 3 Management and 13 supporters)

 

Planned our the meals, rental van requirements and other costs.

 

All still looking for accomodation after the cancellation of Marae that was initially booked.
